Software Developer (Co-op Student)

Position Overview
We are currently looking for a Software Developer (Co-op student) with strong design and development skills. Upon completion of our new hire training program, the successful candidate will embark upon a challenging work term as a Software Developer. He/She will design and develop new features for our hosted Corporate University solution working in a LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP). The ultimate goal of this position is to ensure Dual Code’s Corporate University solution remains at the forefront of the industry.
Position Responsibilities
- Technical design, implementation and verification of new software features
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience designing and developing software features
- Experience with verification and quality assurance processes and methodologies
- Understanding of GPL and other open-source licensing models
- Experience with LAMP (Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL)
- Proven ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with Moodle and/or other learning management systems (preferred, but not required)
Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (completed or in progress)
