The HCE is a Learning Management System (LMS) based on Moodle, the world's most popular open-source learning management system. It has been customized by Dual Code to meet the specific needs of the Canadian healthcare sector. It supports the following features:

Notifications. Users can receive automatic alerts on courses that are up for renewal, new assignments and deadlines, forum posts and also send private messages to one another.
